OUR HEAD INSTRUCTOR, J. DALLO
Mr. Dallo began training in the martial arts at approximately age 9. A kung fu instructor on his street was his first teacher, albeit informal. At age 14, Mr. Dallo first read Bruce Lee's Tao of Jeet Kune Do. He read it cover-to-cover and began formulating and practicing his own workouts and training methods. At age 16, he began formal training at martial arts schools.

In 1995, while a senior in high school, he entered The Challenge of Blood, Sweat, and Tears - Michigan's first no-holds-barred competition. Nervous, yet eager to test his abilities, Mr. Dallo entered the tournament... and won. He finished his first opponent by arm bar well before submissions and the UFC were popular. In the final match, his opponent gave up after a fierce assault.

During that summer, he was fortunate enough to attend his first seminar with the legendary Guro Dan Inosanto. At that seminar, he also met Sifu Christian Malgeri, who he would go on to train with for 18 years. Mr. Dallo pursued both his martial arts training and higher education, attending the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, where he also joined the Michigan Wolverines Boxing Club. Sifu Malgeri introduced Mr. Dallo to not only Guro Inosanto - but Sifu David Hatch, Sifu Francis Fong, Tuhon Bill McGrath, Ajarn Chai Sirisute, Professor Salem Assli, and others - and continues to train under these legendary instructors to this day, continuously updating and refining his skills and, consequently, his students' skills, as well!

Mr. Dallo continues to train in, and is certified to teach, the arts of Wing Chun Kung Fu, Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu, Jeet Kune Do Concepts/Kickboxing, Kali, Silat, Muay Thai, and Boxe Francaise Savate.

During his traditional training, Mr. Dallo also competed in the Michigan freestyle competition once more and several kickboxing competitions; fought nationally for the University of Michigan, became captain of the team, and earned "All-American" in boxing by the National Collegiate Boxing Association. At the "Train with the Legends" seminar hosted by the Francis Fong Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Dallo won the informal competition for "fastest kick" during the Muay Thai session, competing with students internationally.
